ABOUT HER CLASS :

Taja is trained technically in the styles Ballet , Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, African, Hip-Hop, and Ballroom, but of course features her class around her training in Hip-hop/ Commercial Dance.
Her 90min class contains a stretch and warm-up involving isolations, conditioning, and a little bit of grooving to help get the body geared up for choreography.
Her choreography process is driven by the music and usually involves the marriage of musicality, and dynamic changes in texture of her movement, while igniting the performance quality in her students.
She focuses on social dances, the basic use of club styles, and character driven movement to give every student in the room something that they can relate to, but simultaneously  being a challenge for them as well. Aside from her combinations, Taja's most effective and important part of class is her inspirational speaking.
Motivating the students not only through moves, but in relation to life is what pushes her students, and what ultimately helps her connect and share her joy for performing.
